LANDSKAPSKONSTNÄR: Alexander Weldu
TITLE: Moon Mountain
SIZE: 11x 13,4 in
MEDIUM: Acrylic on canvas
Artist Statement:
My piece has a mountain at the right and left. The left mountain is a bit shorter then the right mountain. Between the mountain is a deep green grass Field that has some big rocks near the right mountain. Down below the left mountain is a beach and it ends at the cave and slowly starts again but not much. Further down the beach is the water that goes from the lower left to the right and into a cave. I only used a normal paint brush for the hole and I used acrylic paint to colour. The only thing I was inspired to do was the sky because if you look at old pieces then you get a lot of cool cloud sky. Mountains and the moon are really good together so if you move some physics into it with some water then it comes out good. I chose to draw this because I wanted to do something with mountains and the moon. The sky was hard and I just used more water with paint to fix it. The moon was not good next time i Will probably not do a moon again for it was hard and took a lot of time to just draw so i could probably done it better. Before this I didn't know how to draw clouds good but after this thing a learnt to draw clouds and never draw a moon.
LANDSCAPE ARTIST: Cooper Doyle
TITLE: Sweet summer skies
SIZE: 12x16 inches
MEDIUM: Acrylic on canvas board
Artist Statement:
Soothing summertime sky.
An elegant country side.
And the most graceful scenery.
The main idea of my painting was to really interpret the colours and how they complement one another. I wanted it to show movement, so I tried to show that with colour and different brush strokes for the sky and ground.
I wanted to use a more exaggerated use of colour in the landscape, instead of using more dull life like colours I brightened it.
