Remember the large irregular shapes that I began to tuck into one another in the piece “Green Tangle”?
Well, when you work, one things leads to another leads to another...and here I am now weaving paper to see what I can create.

Collage artists are like squirrels gathering and stashing piles of paper every where. The other thing an artist needs is a surface to collage on.
In one of my thrift shop trips, I spied a large printed canvas. It had some slightly raised areas- rather like embossing. I scooped it up, brought it home and painted the whole thing red. My composition was created by interacting with the embossed areas. All the small ‘red lines’ that you see are actually the place where the embossing was. The original printed image was of flowers, they are covered with colourful dots.
Can you picture them?
