COLLAGE: noun or verb? Day 13

During the pandemic and isolation, I hear many artists communicate their struggle with lack of inspiration. That’s because social interactions lead to inspirations in Art.
In 2018, having seen my Art, a friend gave me a piece of vellum to try in my collages. It was very different from the opaque papers I was used too. I loved the translucent quality of the paper and wanted to create a piece that honoured that.
Using the vellum and sewing pattern tissue paper I created this large 4 foot by 4 foot piece.
After gluing down all the collage elements, I went back in with a white gel pen and added stippling to give the piece a sense of atmosphere.
When looking at a large piece that is 4 feet by 4 feet, you really need to lean in and get a good look at the details of the piece.
