Ace is one of the superheroes from the comic my friends and I are making called ‘The Miscreants’. She has gravity powers and uses steel playing cards/throwing cards as a weapon. She got these powers from a failed project at NASA. She was doing an apprenticeship there when the project was happening. I really like giving drawings and characters one specific color that they follow so for Ace her color is blue. Although she doesn’t have much blue in her character design her powers give off a blue color, so I decided to try and show this in the background. Although at times Ace looks very serious, she has one of the chillest personalities in the comic. I tried to show this laid-back vibe through her face. A lot of these drawings will have hands in the front of the piece and as you can see this one does as well. I wanted to take these character designs and use them as practice for hands as I am quite bad at them. I think having most of the pieces with the hands at the front will also tie the pieces together as they have a common attribute.
