One way we could think about to decrease the rate of poverty and help with housing would be to create a new living environment for the less fortunate. An environment where the prices are cheaper so they are not struggling and trying to find a way to pay their bills on time. We could have a community where the houses are average and nothing fancy just to ensure that people have a roof over their heads and a place to live. We could just make the monthly rent cheaper and a more affordable price seeing as not as much work and time would be invested into these houses. Another option as for different types of housing would be to even just have a community or a big piece of land where people can have tiny homes. This would be a possible option on a different kind of housing that is more affordable. This type of housing is not permitted in many places but if we can permit more of these communities as previously stated, it would also be a way to decrease the poverty rate in the province. Being said, these houses could still be nice but if we make them a bit smaller and just not as modern as the newer neighbourhoods that would result with the price going down from where they are now.
