I’m interested in realistic portraits and trying to capture the personality of the person. My idea was to explore portraits in graphite on paper focusing on the details that make the individual unique. I’m working with my friends as models for my drawings as well as some other references. I try to work as much as possible from observation. One artist who has inspired me is Chuck Close with his realism and use of values.
