Vanguard is a superhero that is also a master chemist. Because he mixes chemicals all the time (also because of an accident involving a mixture of chemicals that went wrong) he has decided to always wear a gas mask. This also keeps his identity secret just in case. He uses his creations to harm enemies but since the rest of the group does not have a mask like him, he can only use them when he is in an area away from the rest of the superheroes. Since he can’t use them often, he carries a sniper rifle with him. This piece has been the hardest for me to do. I’ve never drawn a mask like his before, so I tried putting it off for too long. I think it turned out alright in the end, but I feel like I could’ve also done better. This is also the only piece that is in a landscape page format and not portrait. I found that the piece looked confusing as the hand and beaker overlapped the mask and made it look odd so I adjusted it to a landscape page format so those 2 parts could be separate.
