Artist Statement:

“I am currently studying Graphic Design at OCAD University and am captivated by the use of creative visuals in the marketing world. My ongoing exploration through the interaction between function and form has led me to the intersection of art and business. I hope to utilise my learning to create opportunities for change in the world and to help individuals realise their dreams through entrepreneurship and marketing.

My fascination with the creative world came at a young age however was not developed until the later years of high school through the International Baccalaureate Arts program. I completed courses in visual arts, digital media, and social studies which helped develop a unique worldview which I consider to be at the foundation of all my work. I consider my instructors to be my biggest inspiration as throughout my learning career they have pushed me to excel beyond the expectations I set for myself.”

Some Wounds Never Heal

Magazine Print

17” x 11”

October 10, 2019

“I find it fascinating the effect that social media has on our world and the way it has both connected and disconnected us. In an attempt to capture the gloomy reality of cyber bullying, I captured this photo and designed it to be used as a public service announcement to increase awareness about the ongoing issue. The goal is to hold social media users accountable for the interactions they share online and to show that although it is easy to focus on the pros of social media integration it is also important to look at the cons.”

Earth Hour

Poster Print

11” x 17”

March 20, 2019

“Poster design is something that I find very peaceful and often use it to relieve stress. It gives me an opportunity to be expressive and also explore new design techniques. I designed this to promote Earth hour, an hour every year to not use electricity, which I find a lot of people overlook despite its importance for raising awareness about environmental issues.”
