Fundraising Auction for the Care and Conservation of Kawartha Art Gallery’s Permanent Collection

Discover the interesting places of A.J. Casson and J.E.H. MacDonald of the Group of Seven, of Norman Knott, Maurice E. Roberts, and other talented artists of Eastern Ontario.

Kawartha Art Gallery in partnership with Curated presents an online fundraising auction of a collection of artworks gifted to the Gallery with the intention of raising funds for the care and conservation of the Gallery's Permanent Collection. 

Kawartha Art Gallery is a repository for two and three-dimensional art, holding the works of art in trust for the citizens of the City of Kawartha Lakes for the benefit of present and future generations. 

The conservation, exhibition, study, and documentation of the collection are the heart of the Gallery’s mission and public service. 

Kawartha Art Gallery’s online auction features a collection of prints of works by Casson and MacDonald featuring works done by both artists in the Kawarthas, a collection of original watercolours by Maurice Roberts, a collection of limited-edition prints by Norman Knott and original artworks done by artists of the Kawarthas. 

All the artworks are in excellent condition with some pieces having been professionally appraised. All appraisal information accompanies image of the artwork. 

Bidding opens Monday November 14th, 2022, and closes on Tuesday November 22, 2022, at 7 p.m.

The works are available for viewing at Kawartha Art Gallery from Friday November 18, 2022, until Tuesday November 22, 2022, from 10:00am to 4:00pm. 

Winning bidders can pick up their paintings by appointment at Kawartha Art Gallery, delivery is available if within delivery area. 

Kawartha Art Gallery is located on the second floor of The Lindsay Public Library at 190 Kent Street West in Lindsay, Ontario K9V 2Y6. 

The Gallery’s hours of operation are, Tuesday to Saturday from 10:00am to 4:00pm.
