THE PERFORMERS
Pint of Blarney, is a six-piece band that re-tells ancient stories in traditional Celtic folk music, originating from many regions of Ireland, Scotland, and Canada’s East Coast, interspersed with classic Irish wit and humour. They bring the kitchen party sessions to the stage with an assortment of traditional Celtic instruments.
As you listen to every upbeat song, you'll feel the band's love for Celtic music sparkling like sunlight on the sea. Whether it’s a jig, reel, hornpipe, polka, slide, sea shanty, or ballad, their sound will have you tapping your toes. A little taste of Ireland in your own back yard.
The band is comprised of:
Bob Jones – Button accordion and vocals
Tom Lucas – Fiddle, mandolin, whistle, bodhran and vocals
Les Agnew – Irish bouzouki, mandolin, bodhran, harmonica, guitar and vocals
Chris Herlihey – Guitar, mandolin, banjo, concertina, bass and vocals
Wally Koekebakker – bass, guitar vocals
Artemis Chartier – flute, guitar, vocals
The Mitchells, featuring siblings Jackson, Alexis & Jaidon, bring the sounds of traditional fiddle music fused with classical elements, Ottawa Valley Step Dance, and harmonies that are energetic, uplifting and entertaining.
Hailing from the small town of Omemee, ON, they have received multiple awards for solo and group performances at competitions and festivals, and enjoy performing at local events, fundraisers, and shared stage opportunities with other musical artists. This trio blends music and dance that will resonate with audiences of all ages!
